Hi. Back in April, I purchased a Vera Bradley Travel Pill case to use for my various pills like my prescription. Can I place my pills in there ahead of time and go through Security that way, or do I have to keep them in their original containers? Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but it's always a good idea to keep them in the original containers to avoid any suspicions.

You'll be fine taking them out. Liquid meds should be kept in their bottle, but pills can be in a case. This is coming from someone who has had pill cases explode in her purse and never had security question it. My mother has also been using pill cases for years. Since you're not travelling internationally, they won't worry about it

Sorry, off topic @SyracuseDisneyFan, but I can't PM you -- but double-check your flight details! I think you're booked on the SYR-MCO JetBlue ones just like we are, and ours just got switched to a different aircraft (from an A320 which seats 150 to an Embraer 190 which seats 100), and our seats were randomly reassigned. Not only did they have us spread between 4 different rows with my 5-year-old by herself several rows away from the nearest family member, but they changed some of our bought-and-paid-for Even More Space seats to standard coach seats. I was never notified. I called and got our assignments changed so we'd at least be together (I had to give up the Even More Space seats, but they refunded the upcharge), but if I hadn't happened to log on and notice it myself, we'd have showed up on travel day and been in for a terrible surprise!

And on topic... I've traveled with my [non-gel] pills in a plastic "7-day" compartmentalized pill case, kept in my "personal item" for the plane, with no problems.

Your pharmacy may be able to print out some paper documentation for you to keep with you, if you're nervous. Also useful in case you lose a pill or need to get something from a local pharmacy.
