Last trip we popped into Animal Kingdom for about 2 hours on Leaving Day. My 11-year old keeps telling me we've got to go to AK on the first day "when we have lots of time."

I have also never been to Downtown Disney (although I am afraid to--$$$$$) or the Boardwalk.

I want to start a collection of resort coffee cups.

yellow shoes i cant believe youve never been to downtown disney or the boardwalk but to be fair in may 2005 that was the first time i went to the boardwalk and i loved it and cant wait to go back! gotta tell ya this though downtown disney isnt that dear $$$ wise, if you spent a couple of hour looking around you would find it really interesting, thats what i do spend half a day walking around and looking at stuff but im like practically there every other day/night.

as soon as ive checked in i get the bus to downtown disney and go to ghiradelli(?) and get a frozen mocha that is how i start my holiday. i just cant wait to go i feel like bursting, i cant sleep at night because i just think of my holiday and my eyes just wont shut in the end i try my hardest to think of something else.

27 days left for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i already know what im doing on my first propper day; im going to animal kingdom then going to fort. wilderness for my carriage ride!:)

...and I think you've hit it on the head. When I have park tickets burning a hole in my pocket, I want the PARKS and don't want to "waste" half a day at DTD.

i check every day to see if the dollar is high i mean the dollar is now something like 1.71 which i think is good so during the week im gonna get more $$$$ coz i got paid on friday (yay).

i didnt mean any offence saying that about downtown disney saying that you cold spend half a day there, what i meant was if you had the time its a great place to be and if you have children im sure they would like the lego shop and play area, there also a big disney shop i think its called something like world of disney(?) on the westside there is the AMC, palnet hollywood (thats $$$), quite a few restaurants, the big virgin megastore, cirque de solei(?), disneyquest (never been there before but will definatley go there in dec.)

downtown disney is a nice time away from the parks dont get me wrong i love the parks but the boardwalk and downtown disney are great cant wait to spend more time and my $$$ there .

what if say the next time you are in epcot or mgm and want to go somewhere else why not walk or get the boat to the boardwalk - i promise you; you wont be dissapointed. plus its also a nice place to see the fireworks from epcot.

Checking my son in at the CP and seeing his new living quarters
Trying to find Illuminations and Fantasmic CD's
Stocking up on Mickey Rice Krispy treats - ostensibly to bring home to daughter, but I'll probably eat half of them on the trip :slurp:
Eating at Boma
Riding the monorail
We may not even make it into the parks, but just being there is good enough for me.

We are going in 5 days!!!!!!

Most excited about seeing the looks on the kids faces.... (Bringing my kids, 1 and 2 1/2, and my nephews, 8 and 12) this is the first time for all of them (except my daughter, she came at 9 months, but I count this as her first time).

And staying at SSR for the first time in a grand villa...it's bigger than my house...that's nuts!!!!
