Question

I was wondering...we did the DVC open house on Sunday and are really interested in joining...any members out there, is it really as good as they make it out to be and have you been able to do many of the things they show you....any input would be helpful.

First let me say this. We bought last year and WE LOVE IT.
We looked at many time shares and this was by far the best. It is flexible and the Disney hotels are wonderful. It is pretty easy to trade also esp. with the collections they have put together. We stayed in Hawaii this summer at an amazing 5-star hotel.
With that said, you may get a few neg. responses here and timeshare is not for everyone. I alway though it was not for us but the Disney fleability changed that for me. Plus there is NO presure like other ones have. We figure we are hooked aon Disney and planned to go everyyear or so anyway and now aaaat least this part of our yearly travl is done for the next few years..GO FO IT!:wave:

We too purchased last year at DVC Wilderness Lodge Villas and love it. So far everything has been what we expected and then some. We have taken three trips already and everything has been great. We even took a VERY last minute trip in July that we called to book like a week ahead with no problems. We also made a reservation using points for friends of ours to go one one of our trips and they said checkin and everything went smoothly and that everything was good. Before we purchased we took a good look at all the materials and priced it out and it just seemed silly not to do it since we love going to Disney anyway! So my two cents, price it out, and if it seems affordable and something you will use, then go for it!

We bought into it earlier this year and just went on our first DVC trip in September. If you're going to make a lot of trips to WDW or the two other resorts, its a great deal. I do like the flexibility as well with staying at non Disney places. However, if you are going to do a lot of trips to other places and only go to WDW once every couple of years, its probably not for you. You get the most value at the DVC resorts.

Having said that, we love it. We're going again in December and are scheduling a trip next fall for 2 WEEKS!!! I could never afford 2 weeks in WDW without the DVC.

We have had ours for 6 yrs. (Vero Beach) LOVE it! We have used it at VB, HH, WDW and several concierge collection locations. I love the flexibility of size of accommodation needed, times of year, etc. There are a few cons, but the overall experience for us has been great! (and our children are all grown up and gone!)
