Question Trip

I am planning on going to Universal for a night.

My current plan is arrive at night to an on-site hotel during a Monday in July. Hit both park on Tuesday then head out at night.

Now here's my question: As somewhat of a veteran (I've gone multiple times) with Express Pass who doesn't like the BIG rides (Hulk, Rip Ride, Doom, Dragons), what are my chances of doing the parks in 1 day? I plan on being in the park from WWoHP's early opening for hotel guests to 9 pm.

My "must-do's" are:
- Forbidden Journey
- Transformers
- Mummy
- Men in Black
- Simpsons Ride
- Kang and Kodos
- ET
- Despicable Me
- Spiderman
- Hulk
- Popeye
- Jurassic Park
- Cat in the Hat

you should be fine hitting these. transformers I reccomend trying to get there early though. it will take the most out of your day along with HP cause of the fact I dont think express is open for Transformers and there isnt one for HP.

No Dudley? Might as well if you're going on Popeye. I would suggest heading back to the resort for a change of clothes after doing both of these water rides. As you probably know, you're gonna get drenched.

You should also try to fit Poseidon's Fury, Universal's Horror Make-Up Show, Disaster!, and Terminator 2:3D. You'll have a very full day, but it will be fun and you won't feel like you have run out of things to do. Also, try to do single rider wherever possible. It will be less stressful and will save time. Most rides offer single rider, like Mummy, Men in Black, Transformers, etc.

EDIT: Just remembered you're staying on-site and you'll have Express Pass. No need for single rider then!

I'm an often visitor and I've seen those shows so I think it's more important for me to make sure I get the other rides done first then shows.

I think you should be able to bang through all that if you keep going. You'll be tired when you're done, though!! :D

Remember that it gets really humid in August, so you don't dry as quickly after water rides as you do during non-humid months.

Good choice. I stayed at Universal for 2 days last year. Next time I go to Orlando (hopefully fall 2014), I plan to stay 3 nights there. With the way things are trending, my future trips will likely keep seeing an increase in nights at Universal and a decrease in nights at Disney. I wonder how many others are doing the same ...
