Hello,

We will be staying at the Hilton Anaheim this time around, and have never purchased tickets separately. Can anyone tell me how to purchase tickets at the lowest price please? In person at the ticket office, online, or from a different venue such as a local business or store?

Thanks in advance.

Costco in CA seemed to be the best deal. But you have to be a member, and if your store doesn't sell them, must do it in CA.
AAA has a marginal discount - again tho your local branch may not sell them.
Don't buy tickets at the gate unless you want to wait in line - buy them from Disney online at the least.

There are lots of grey market ticket sellers - stay away - especially anyone selling partial used tickets.

This page gives a good rundown and is updated regularly

The Anaheim Hilton is a huge convention center hotel. It has a Disney Desk in the lobby. (Which I imagine is kind of like a Snow Desk at a Minneapolis TV station, but for Disneyland tickets and info.) From the hotel's website...

"Disney Desk - The Hilton Anaheim Hotel is one of a select few hotels in the Anaheim Resort Area that features a Disney Desk on site. The Disney Desk is a full-service ticket outlet staffed by trained Disneyland® Resort Cast Members. It's like having a Disneyland® Resort ticket booth right at your hotel, but even better!
Stop by and let our knowledgeable Disney Desk Cast Members help you to personalize a Disneyland® Resort itinerary plan and provide helpful hints & insider tips! For more information, please dial ext.4655 from any house phone."

I have bought them online through the Disney site in advance, but there was no discount. This summer though, I found a deal on Orbitz giving me a 5 day parkhopper for the price of a 4 day. I don't know if the deal is still out there but it is worth a search. I was skeptical of the deal but Orbitz is pretty reputable and it all worked out fine.

Hi, my family is going to the Disneyland Resort over New Year's. We arrive 12/29 in the afternoon. I have purchased 3 Day Hoppers online from Travelocity (we have vouchers to redeem when we get there). 12/30 we are going to DCA, 12/31 DL, and then 1/1 we will hop back/forth. We have one more full day open 1/2. Initially we were going to head over to Universal, but when I looked at the list of rides I realized my wife and I may get stuck passing our 2 yr old back and forth since he will be too small for most of the attractions. We have 3 boys - ages 2, 8 and 10. Any advice? Should we get a 4th day on our Disney passes? Go ahead with Universal? I appreciate any and all opinions.

Universal only has a handful of rides, and I think they all have a height requirement except for the tram tour. If you don't mind sticking to that and seeing a bunch of shows, you'll enjoy yourselves, but keep in mind that USH is very small compared to DL or DCA. Unless Transformers is a big draw for your family (and it's a rad ride), I'd stick with DLR for the fourth day.

It really depends on how much USH's lineup appeals to you and your older kids, because on those four rides you will need to baby swap.

Universal is also pretty far to go for a day... maybe you could check out Knott's Berry Farm, as that's a little more family oriented and much closer to Disney?

The days you have chosen to visit all of these theme parks; 12/29 to 1/3, is one of the absolute busiest weeks of the year. It's common for Disneyland to stop allowing people in by early afternoon that week, that's how busy it is.

Whichever theme park you go that week, from Universal to Knott's to Disneyland, it will be extremely crowded and you will deal with peak crowds and long lines for everything, from rides to bathrooms. I'm not sure it's worth it to try for a day at Universal, as your children don't really fit most of the thrill rides at Universal and might be bored with the working movie studio experience for the rest of it. Disneyland Resort will be so busy, and beyond capacity most days, that a fourth day might be in order if only to get on a few more rides after three overcrowded and very hectic days.

Good luck to you. And pray for rain.

Do the extra day at DLR... with the crowds as TP2000 explained, it'll be the best, most enjoyable and least expensive way to do it all, seeing that adding a 4th day to a hopper is cheaper than than getting a 1 day pass for a completely different park. I love comparing the differences in similar attractions that exist in WDW and DLR. knowing that you'll have that extra day will be helpful in letting you relax a bit and take it all in :) I hope your new year celebration in the happiest place on earth with your family is magical and if you enjoy thrill rides, hit up Indiana Jones as much as possible. I'm bummed out one of the best Disney rides ever doesn't exist in WDW. It's up there with Tokyo DL's Winnie the Pooh ride. :P Hope this was helpful at all :)
