Question regarding stroller on NWA flights

Has anyone ever flown with their own collapsible stroller down to WDW? We're taking our second trip Dec 11-15 and I would prefer to bring my 2 year olds stroller with us on the flight. Northwest shows on their website that I can carry on a collapsible umbrella stroller, but this would be more of a midsize stroller (part of my travel system) that folds flat, but is still rather bulky. Before calling the airline and trying to get an answer from them, I'd like to see if anyone else has run into this before.

Any advise is appreciated!

On every flight I have taken on any airline if you have a stroller, you can take it with you to the gate and then check it at the gate (once you walk down to the entrance of the plane) and then right when you get off the plane the stroller is waiting for you so that you can put your child in it to get to baggage claim. I am assuming they do this because most strollers don't fit in the overhead compartment areas and if they do- they take up too much room so others can't use the overhead area. We have never had a problem getting our stroller right when we are exiting the plane after the flight.
