Question re: Crowds at Epcot's Food & Wine Fest

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to the boards and usually just lurk, but I've got a question for you all.

We'll be going to WDW in a few weeks (yippee!! :sohappy: ) - - November 7-November 13, to be exact. I believe that Epcot's Food & Wine fest will still be going on that week, correct? What kind of crowds should I expect?

I know that traditionally the crowds are pretty minimal during that time of year.
The last time we visited WDW during the month of November was way back in 1998, but I remember how un-crowded the parks were. And I'm pretty sure the Food & Wine Fest was not going on while we were there then.

Should I prepare myself for large crowds this time?

Thanks for your help!

I was there for the food and wine fest 2 years ago. the crowds were not that bad at all. more people than usual but it was a weekend. it was cool because each pavillion had a couple kiosks with beer and wine and food. the weather is also nice. not to hot during the day which i love.

but see thread about October crowds

Last year's festival was great, and not too crowded, but there's been a recent thread about how busy the parks are right now, and it's being attributed to all the trips that were delayed by the storms, new school breaks, lots of visitors from the UK, etc.. Your trip in early November should be excellent, as it's usually beautiful then, and the crowds should, in fact, have diminished. (And yes, the festival runs through the 15th this year).

I'll be there in 10 days, so I'm hoping that it will have eased by then, but on the other hand, good attendance is a good thing for Disney - and ultimately for us, as those dollars should/could be used to invest in the parks.

I was there the over Veteran's day last year and the F&W Festival was going on. The parks were basically empty at that time of the year and I had a blast. It's deffinitely one of the best times of the year to go and I wouldn't worry to much. You'll have a blast, if there are crowds, don't let them get to you!

Also, WELCOME TO THE BOARDS! Feel free to ask us anything as we are always here to help out.

I was there last year for it and the lines for rides and stuff weren't long, but the lines for the food (and espeically alcohol) was stupidly long. After getting like one or two things we just gave up because the lines weren't worth it for food.
