Question on shifts and training

Hi! 1.Are character performers trained individually or as a group? 2. Also are regular cast members and CPs trained together or separately? 3. Can cast members pick their parks or can they switch from one park to another to work?

My answers are based on training from 2007(!), so it may have changed by now.

But back then, we were trained as a group.

I think our training group may have combined CPs and non-CPs? (But most of my group were CPs.)

We were Global Entertainment, so we could be scheduled at any of the parks. You could also join FB groups for character performers (ask your coworkers) where you could pick up, give away, or trade shifts.

What about character performers? I heard they were in short of trainers at one point. Are they trained individually?

I don't know if character performers are trained individually, currently. It feels like it would be more efficient to train as a group.
