question on online reservation (borrowing)

do i have to actually borrow the points im going to use before i make my reservation or will it be done automatically for me when attempting to make a reservation?

You do it at the time of reservation

It will ask you to borrow the points you need to book your reservation...it's towards the end of the transaction.

The website is set up to make these things pretty easy, you will have no trouble borrowing the points as you go through the reservation process. Many of us complain about Disney's web sites and IT department but I think their DVC reservation site is really well done considering it can get a bit complicated with banking, borrowing, multiple contracts etc. But as I said they make it easy. And you can always call if you need further assistance.

I did this last week and it was very painless. The on line system handled my booking with part of the points from this year and the rest borrowed from 2014 without any problems. Also did a wait list on line and it was great. Already have gotten the room I wanted.
