Question on different arrival dates

I am hoping someone can help me with this situation. My husband, my daughter and I are booked for free dining at POR from 11-16 to 11-22. My husband may want to go down on the 14th, my daughter and I cannot go until the 16th. My first thought was to just change the reservation to arrival on the 14th rather than the 16th but then I thought about Magical Express. Will we be able to use Magical Express if we arrive on different days? I believe my husband would be able to use it but my daughter and I may not be able to? If I do a room only for my husband for the 2 nights, he would not have tickets until we got there unless I purchase a ticket for him for the whole trip. Also with the dining plan, I believe we all have to have the same package; same number of days on the tickets. Any thoughts or advice on how to accomplish this is appreciated!

AS far as magical express you can get picked up on different days just let them know. You can change your reservation to the day your husband arrives and have the dinning plan start that day even though you and your daughter don't arrive till the 16th. That will give you extra meal credits for the days you haven't arrived yet that you could use any time during your visit. I don't know the meal plan you have. If you only have the two meals a day you could use them for your third meal. All the meal credits can be used as you please not so many a day. As far as the tickets go. Just buy the tickets you were going to. You do not have to buy for the same number of days as your reservation. Free dinning only requires like a two day ticket. Then when you husband checks in he can have the 2 extra days added to just his ticket only. Adding on two days is much cheaper than buying another 2 day ticket. So your reservation would be from 11-14 to 11/22. Your tickets are not for specific dates just they expire after the first use. So your tickets will be available on the 14th but you can wait till the 16th to use them. Hope that helps.

One suggestion on submitting the flight info when you have a complicated itinerary, such as people arriving or departing on different days: Call the DME people directly. In my experience I've found that Central Reservations often has trouble with anything more complicated than everyone arriving and departing on the same flights...

Give them a call at 866-599-0951.
