Question on annual passes

i am looking to purchase the 15 month passes for my family.
do they send you a hard card pass in the mail?
just wondering how it is delivered to you because i plan on putting them in the kids easter baskets.
i can always put some paper print out in there, but i thought it would look a little nicer with plastic cards.
id also like to sort of wait as long as possible to buy them.
how long do they typically take to mail in the mail?
obviously if they dont mail anything i will just wait until the week of easter and buy them and print them out.

this is going to be the main thing going in the basket.
i literally will probably put one chocolate Easter bunny in each one.
maybe a few packs of jelly belly's in each and these, so im just hoping i can make it look cool.

Universal's passes are not plastic, and you pick them up when you go to the park for the first time after purchasing them. I'm also pretty sure they do not activate until their first use, so you can buy them whenever, though I'd call to make sure that is the case.

I think it works in a similar way to how you would get a WDW Annual Pass. You get a printable Voucher or you can pick them up at Guest Services/Will Call with the Credit Card and confirmation number you ordered them with.

I don't believe plastic is an option for Annual Passes anymore. For awhile only the Premier had Annual Passes and for a few years now it has been paper all around with the only way to keep plastic is if you have your original plastic card and have renewed.

Caution as to not be disappointed. Like Disney, they hope you pay to park your first visit. So unless you work out a drop off plan for someone to go to Guest Services and have someone pick them up and one go into and out of the park you may have to pay to park on your first visit.

it sort of alluded to that when i was checking the prices.
that may work out kind of awesome then.
i will buy them the week of easter, print out receipts, put them in the baskets, and then we can go the first weekend of April.

i sort of figured thats how it worked because the small print says you have to pay for parking the first visit, but the next times are obviously no charge.
it says you had to activate the passes before the second or third week in april.
i will give them a call in a few weeks though and make sure everything is like it seems.

If you purchase a pass with valet parking included you only have to show the pass on the way out so you can drop your car, activate the passes, enjoy the parks and show your activated pass as you present your claim check to retrieve your car. Couple of other way to do it but only if you pull through the normal day parking gates would you have to pay. Only one of the passes would need to be the valet eligible. It will also get you food discounts, merch discounts rental discounts, ticket purchase discounts etc - etc.

Just a suggestion- maybe somehow buy a lanyard to keep the passes in ( they have them at Five Below- don't know where you live, but it's a popular dollar-type store). And it serves as a basket filler and will keep the passes nice and dry. If you live in FL, you can buy the voucher at Publix and it is plastic- to be exchanged for paper  For whatever reason the actual passes are NOT PLASTIC:mad: and the slightest bit of wetness ruins them. They will reprint them for free, but you have to wait in the obnoxiously long guest services line. I thought someone said the on site hotels were capable of exchanging the vouchers now, but I'm not sure. If you have to go to guest services, GO EARLY!
