QUESTION:Internet access at WDW

I was wondering, with some Members posting trip info from WDW while there, does WDW have Internet access in the resorts other than thoes kiosks I have heard about. I would like to bring a laptop with me and download my digital camers images and use some to post. I have a Broadband connection at home which is much superior to twisted pair(POTS). What are the choices for me while there???

You have in room data ports on the phone, that are regular POTS lines. You can pop your 56k omdem in there, and find an ISP with a free phone access number, You just then pay for the standard WDW resort connection fee per call (less than a dollar). :)

You might try to see if any of the resorts have Business Centers (I would assume the Dolphin and Swan do, maybe the Contemporary as well.)

Most hotel Business Centers have some sort of high speed Internet access for travelling business people.

But, be warned, it usually isn't cheap.

last year, i stayed at fort wilderness, and of course they don't have phone lines at the sites there. You could haul your laptop down to the main office, where they had several phone lines available for guests to hookup their laptops (local numbers only). best of all, it was free. (worse of all, it was 56k)

I have just returned from WDW and found that many of the more exclusive resorts (Yatch & Beach Clubs, Grand Foridian, etc) had AT&T Webphones with tft screens next to regular payphones. You can use a Credit card or use notes with them, i think it was $0.25 for 1 minute. They also have infrared ports which would be useful if your camera had one also.

I enquired before I went and was told that the only other place is the Business centre in Contemporary, though I think if you want to be able to send photos from your camera your best bet would be to take a laptop and use your room phone as I doubt youll get much luck using your camera with computers other than your own.
