Question ... if I leave the parks on Christmas Eve/Day to ...

dine at a resort ... would we be allowed back in if the park reaches capacity? my reservations are at 5:25 at Whispering Canyon Café on 12.24 and 7:30 p.m. at 1900 Park Fare on 12.25. My DH is concerned if they reach park capacity, we won't be able to get back into any of the parks after we eat.

If you are staying at a Disney resort you can get in all the way up to a phase 4 closure which are extremely rare.

Yes we are staying at CS. And I am figuring both those nights .... people with little kiddies will be heading back to their resort (hopefully, especially on Christmas Eve ... cos Santa is coming)... LOL Thanks for the info!!

You would think that....but many people also think "nobody will go to Disney World on Christmas - it'll be empty!" And then they get there and realize everyone else in the free world had the same idea.

The phased closings do tend to ramp down later in the day, but the park will still be crowded. You'll be glad you took the break to leave for dinner.
