Hey every one I am wondering if any one knew the answer to this I looked on the website and couldn't find any thing. I am going to Disney Sept 13-27th and I want to book first class .We will be traveling with a 16 month old and and want to do ride on lap but only if we can get first class. So I have been looking every day since October and still the only times open are until June 30th? That's only 5 months away I thought for sure it was 9 months out can any one help me? I know first class books up fast and I don't want to miss it! Thank you!

No
really? I didn't know they didn't have BC their flights are only out until June 30?> I wonder whats the hold up then
We always fly SWA. Just booked are flights to LAX for DL this June. They will release their summer month schedules the last week of January. This still will not cover Oct. According to the women who did our reservations over the phone, they will only release the remaining summer dates at that time. I asked since we will be traveling to WDW in July.
As stated above, there are no seats in FC. You can purchase a seat and buy the early bird seat option. You would get on the plane reasonably early (for us, it means somewhere in the A boarding). The $25 RT fee is worth it to us to sit together.

Yet one more reason why I don't fly SW, we usually have our trips planned about a year in advance, and United has flights at the 330 days out mark. You can usually find them cheaper than on SW as well when you look that far out.

I have been watching their site for October flights and finally sent them an email asking when they would post flights for that month. Their response was the end of April, so I am guessing it would be March for Sept.

With a 16 month old you will board after the A boarding unless you are in the A boarding group. You should get fairly good seats as you will board before the B and C groups. In your case there would be no need to pay for "Early Bird Boarding".

And pay for bags
I am fortunate enought that I get two free bags and we usually only take one anyways, but i will say that when we book out far enough in advance we frequently get our flights round trip for about $70 per ticket cheaper than we would get on SW, as well as SW doesn't fly out of the airport closest to our house, so we then don't have to pay for parking because we can always get a ride. I have also found that SW only offers one non stop to Orlando every day, and it doesn't leave here until 10:00am usually, sometimes 8:00. I'll take my nonstop with an assigned seat choice for less money everytime over free bags.

That's a big factor. For years, SW was the only non-stop flight to MCO from here. We have JetBlue now too, but they don't have as many time choices here. I'll probably stick with SW because I can change the flight with no fees.

Understandable. That would stink to have only 1 non stop option. Philadelphia has so many non stop options for SW. The schedule works well for us. Houston probably isn't a long flight to Orlando, so I agree I wouldn't want a stop along the way. I would never take anything but a direct flight to orlando from here. Have a great trip

It is not a pass. They will announce boarding for families with small children after the A boarding group and before the B boarding group. If you pounce on the SW check in site at exactally 24 hours before your flight you might get an A boarding pass. If you do not get an A then pay very close attention to boarding instructions so that you are able to board right after the A group.

As others have said, as the parent of an infant, you will be offered "family boarding" right after the "A group." You can purchase Early Bird to try and improve your boarding position, but this will not guarantee you a position in the A group. (In other words, even if you buy Early Bird, it's feasible that you'd get a boarding position in the B group, which boards AFTER "family boarding," so you may want to save your money and take your chances with family boarding instead. See the link below for an explanation.)

Again, Southwest aircraft offer only standard coach seats with an average of 31-32" of seat pitch. See this link for recommendations on choosing the best available seat once you're onboard (be sure you're looking at the chart for the correct 737 model - select the correct model from the menu on the righthand side of the screen): http://seatexpert.com/seatmap/418/Southwest_Airlines_Boeing_737-700/
