Question about the lack of Genie+ at Disneyland

I have a trip to Disneyland planned for the third week in October. I know that Genie+ is supposed to be the all powerful thing in terms of using the Park, but by all signs it won't be ready for a bit. Disney World is getting Genie by the third week in October supposedly, but they have posted nothing updating when Genie+ goes on line for Disneyland. My question is this: In terms of the lack of the new Lightning Lanes (which are not even UP at Disneyland supposedly) , what are supposed to do to do a FastPass type maneuver if Genie+ is not available?

Any ideas?

There's really nothing to do beyond waiting in the lines. You might get an edge by joining single rider if you're a solo traveler/if you don't mind breaking up if you're in a group, but they don't really open up single rider until a ride gets particularly busy.

If you get to the park at rope drop, you can do a lot in the first few hours.

Use the Disney app for ride wait times or use Touring Plan's "Lines" app to keep an eye on which lines are long and short at a given time.

The great thing is that the lines move. Even in longer lines, the line continually moves and you don't have that standing in the same spot for 20 minutes thing going on.
