I'm really hate to bring this up but I can't stop thinking about this and hopefully someone has some good news. After I finished the race yesterday I headed back to the Hilton Bonnet Creek where I was staying. Around lunch time I headed down to the pool and was sitting in the hot tub with several other runners. As we were all talking about the race one of the girls ask, "oh my God did you guys see the two runners laying on the side of the road?". She went on to say that she ran past two runners, in different areas around miles 8 and 9, that were on the side of the course and EMT's were doing chest compressions on them. Does anyone know anything about this or how they're doing? I hope they're alright.

I saw one of these runners around mile 9 and it really took the wind out of my sails. Being a nurse I really wanted to run over and help but it looked like the person was in capable hands with an advanced airway and AED placed at that time. I sincerely hope that both of these people pulled through.
