Question about surprising someone with dinner

Okay I want to surprise my parents with dinner "on my brother and I" when they go to Disney World in a few weeks. Only thing is that my brother and I are not going. So I am planning on calling Disney and asking about making PS for my parents. But the part I am wondering about is how they will set it up for me to pay and how my parents will actually find out about this. Anyone have any insight on this.
Ideally I am envisioning getting PS at California Grill or Spoodles for my parents. And I am hoping that Disney could leave something in my parents room telling them about this surprise. They are going a week after their anniversary so this surprise I hope to give them will be a great gift.
Anyway, has anyone done anything like this before and/or have any suggestions for me?

Call and ask, I am sure there is something they can do. You may have a problem though with them eating at a place where every meal is a different price. I could see them being able to charge you ahead of time if it's at a place that has a fixed price (buffet), but it may be tough if they don't know what the bill will be. I would call them and see what they can do.

I would guess that they'd be able to take a credit card number and an upper dollar value to be authorized, but I can't be sure. Call 407-WDW-DINE and ask. That's probably the best way to find out.

I think I have it figured out for you. Why don't you call WDW and make the priority seating and purchase Disney Dollars and have them left in the room with the note. They could then pay for the meal with those.

What do you think?
