Question about purchases at the resorts

A while back, I remember reading that Disney World was going to start a policy where they were no longer going to accept cash at the resorts, and were going to strictly debit/credit/magic bands and gift cards. Is that still a policy? If I remember right, it was a trial run for a larger expansion later, but don't really remember hearing much about it after the first new story. Is it just the resorts? Was I correct that they accept those things I just listed. Thank you.

We were there over the summer and I'm pretty sure they were accepting all cards and cash. Would seem crazy to not accept cash surely?!

Paid cash at the WL yesterday.

The original test was at AKL. Since there has been no news of any resorts added, or current reports of a “cashless” AKL, the test has been concluded.

Also it wasn’t the “all or nothing” that was suggested. The gift shop and The Mara both accepted cash, as did the restaurants. It was just pushed as a preferred option.
