My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon from May 8, 2010 until May 15, 2010. We have gotten a package for a 7 night stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Standard View, 6-Day Magic Your Way Base Ticket, and the Dining Plan that includes One Snack, One Quick Service Meal and One Sit Down Meal. The Package also includes insurance in case of any emergencies that prevents us from being able to go on our set dates. The price of the package is $2,660.60. I am just wondering if this seems like a good price or not. THANK YOU! Hope everyone had a Very Merry Christmas and hope you all have a Happy New Year!

About normal for what you're getting. Keep an eye out for any discounts at AKL that might be announced for the time you're there, often resort discounts on a deluxe can save you a lot more than the Dining Plan would. An AP discount can sometimes save enough to pay for an AP for one of you so you qualify for the discount and enough to cover all your food without the Dining Plan.
The only downside to switching from a package to a room-only with discount is the cancellation policy for packages, so watch your deadlines for the various times when it becomes too costly to switch.
You'll love AKL even in a Standard View. There's so much to see from the lookouts and the lodge itself is awe inspiring!

That is a pretty good price especially for what you are getting. My husband and I had a similiar package and it worked out great. Don't worry about the standard view at AKL you can always go downstairs and see the animals or along the inside of the bldg. there are places to view them too.
Make sure you make ADR's for dinner especially, most places run out of reservations quickly. You can even do your reservations on line too.
