I'm making the reservations for my family for our Easter trip. Regarding putting a card down, does that mean I will have to take my card with me on holiday to pay, or does it not matter? Will my card be charged in any way?

Certain restaurants require a credit card number in the event you do not show for your reservation, or do not cancel it at least the day before the reservation. It is a $10 per person charge that would go onto your card.
You are not required to show or use that card when you arrive and check in under your reservation. Your card would only be charged if you fail to show or cancel your reservation.
