Question about Main Street USA refurb work

Is the refurbishment work throughout Mainstreet USA still underway? About a month ago, I could have sworn I saw somewhere that they have scaffolding and decorative facades covering the various buildings.

I'm curious if it would be completed when we arrive for our Sep 8th trip. One of the people coming with us will be their first time visiting WDW, so it would be a shame to not experience Mainstreet not in it's full grandeur when entering the Magic Kingdom for the first time! :hammer:

Yes. Portions of Expo Hall, a bit of the Emporium north of Center St and most of Casey's Corner are behind tarps.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing. I am pretty sure it is almost done buy I have no idea. I would like to know a timeline. I don't mind the scrims but it is nice to know the timeframe.

I too think it is for the beautification for the 40th. Hopefully it is a great celebration. But Jim Hill mentioned in the Magic Definition Podcast that they don't do much of these because they may get played out and when a BIG one like the 50th comes about, people just won't care.
