I know that Disney provides (for a fee) a LAN type connection in its resort rooms for internet. Would I be able to provide wireless in my room by plugging that cable into my wireless router?

I don't think so. The LAN access requires you log in via their webpage before it works, I'm not sure that'll work through a router... But I don't know.

I do not see why it would not work but you would need to secure it or you are going to be giving free internet access to your corner of the resort.
