Question About Indiana Jones Height Restriction?

As the father of a young boy likely to be affected, I was disappointed to see that the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland has a 46 inch height requirement. As Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom uses the exact same ride system and has only a 40 inch height restriction, does anyone know why they aren't the same? Thanks.

Dinosaur is less rough in its movements. It is frustrating, but when he wont eat his food or go to sleep at night tell him he needs to do it so he can get tall enough to ride it. That is what I tell my daughter. She is almost there. Hopefull she'll have a growth spurt, so she can go on it next time.

DINOSAUR also used to have a higher height restriction (either 46" or 48") as Countdown to Extinction before they tamed it down. While I would say this isn't the case in DINOSAUR, I do think if you were not properly restrained on Indy (as Disney feels you wouldn't be if you weren't 46" inches tall), you would fly out of the vehicle. It is very jerky.
