So, we are looking at a trip over Vetrans day to DL, was wondering about the Hotels that are on Katella Ave right across the street. Does anyone have a rec's on which ones It looks like you can walk to DL from there on the maps. Can anyone tell me if it is really withing walking dist? Also I am curious about the crowds over Veterans day?

Thanks

Hotels on Katella between Disneyland Dr. and Harbor Blvd will be within reasonable walking distance (about 15 minutes or so). Hotels on Harbor are closer. I stayed at the Hilton at the Convention Center which was about 2 1/2 long blocks away from the Esplanade. That walk was about 20 minutes or so. I'd look for hotels/motels serviced by Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART). The cost is pretty cheap and you will save a lot of walking, especially when you are tired by the end of the day.

Hotels we have stayed at in Disneyland CA

My family and I have been there twice, we have stayed at the following hotels. (The sites are listed below, but book through a travel site, i.e, travelocity, hotels.com etc.). We stayed at the Desert Palm our last trip. It is a medium level hotel nothing special, but we were never there. It was clean, had a continental breakfast. It is only about a 10 min walk to Disney's parking lot where you then hop on one of the trams and it will take you right to the front gate. Just ask the reception when you check in how to get there. It is really close. The Desert Palms was very reasonable as well. The anabella is a little farther away, would be about a 20 min walk, you can catch the trollies right in front of the hotel that will take you to the front gate. There is a fee, but not very expensive. Maybe $2 per person, something like that. We have never been to Disneyland during veterans day so can't help you there. Hope this helps! Good luck with your plans and have a good trip!

I was at Disneyland on Veterans Day last year and I can tell you that there were a lot of people. Being that it is a holiday and no schools, people chose to go to Disneyland that day.
