Read the entire article, its very interesting... And click on the picture map to view it larger. To answer your question, no one, on here anyway, knows what's going to happen at Epcot. To be honestly, I don't even think that this Project Gemini that Jim Hill is talking about is true. The map doesn't look like something that Disney would produce. It looks like it was done with a simple Paint program and someone on here even said that it isn't remotely to scale, so don't put too much faith in it. Plus one of the areas is marked "cool stuff".... doesn't sound like a professional phrase to me.

Wow. That article was very interesting. THe author pretty much states at the end though that the map was not an original, that it was based on something he had-- but still, who knows. If WDI really does go through with what was proposed in that article, Epcot could really make a comeback. I was unsure about how i felt with Project Gemini because while everyone of my visits to the park ends with "Wow, this place needs a complete revamp", it does have a little sentimental value if you know what I mean...but I think that some of hte things mentioned in that article could be quite amazing. I especially liked the idea of making everything very lush and green. I always thought that one of the interesting things about Epcot was that while it was supposed to be all about the future, it made the future seem concrete and industrial. THe idea of creating this idea of "future" or "discovery" as something of lively and lush is very smart in my opinion. And I think it would help it to stand out against other theme parks, since I can not think of any other theme park that is able to balance the nature with the thrill..It's almost like a real park to relax but with that disney magic. Some of the ideas seemed really interesting as long as those imagineers do it right :)

As for the money issue, I think it would be smart for Disney right now to hold back on a big project...they might as well wait till attendance is up again and then just close the park completely than try to half-*butt* it...
