Question about full time

Im currently a full time cm at wdw, I want to transfer into qsfb or ODF, does anyone know if the wait list is long for these roles?

Transfers are completed in two ways. You get the approval of your current positions leads and managers by good performance, in which a catch 22 happens as they of course don't want you to leave, which in turn might make them refuse your transfer.

After they approve your transfer, you wait until a position opens up in which this has not exact date. It could be weeks, it could be months, it could be years. Once your transfer position opens up, you still have to be considered for an interview. Then after the interview, you will either be hired onto your new position, or you won't.

Nerveless you stay at your current position if you don't transfer. Being brutally honest, you can self term if you are still unsatisfied and maybe re-apply later into a position that you want.

wait list for f&b and odv is long. you apply for transfer using transfer genie. Transfer genie can be accessed on any wdw computer , nearest cast service center, or a quick stop at casting. You do not need to see leaders. As long as you are within guidelines you will be placed on list for those roles. When a spot comes open casting will call you and ask if you are still interested in transfer.If you say yes transfer is usually in about 3 weeks. if you say no you are not eligible to transfer for 6 more months. Transfer requests are only good for 6 months so keep on your dates and make sure to re-apply if you have not transferred with 6 months.

while on transfer genie you can request any open F&B spot or request a specific park or resort. You have a better chance at any open spot. Here is a hint.... I know of some locations currently looking. Get your app in asap. You just missed a chance to work full time at food and wine.

Thanks Das, my friend got full time for odv last year at HS he was on the wait list for two weeks so I figured it wasn't long lol, food and wine doesnt last though I need a status location, I'll go anywhere for F&B. I didn't know you could request any available location either and what do you mean by "long"? Are you saying like a few months?

Are you sure the wait list is long for odv? I've heard it's not that long but I could be wrong, food and bev is big, you could be a seater too but idk if that takes long
