Question about "Central Florida Fairgrounds"

Okay so I've booked my trip for the week of July 19th through JUly 28th.
As mentioned before I'm probably going to do light touring and waterparks the first two full days (20th and 21st) as I have tickets to Rise Against both nights (the main reason I moved the trip to July). Anyways, turns out the Warped Tour is in town on the 24th, but that would definately mean cutting another day out of the parks. (I'll probably make the three hour road trip to Calgary in August to see it when it comes up here, but different line-up plus a new venue would be very intriguing).

My questions are;
How far is the Central Florida Fairgrounds from DisneyWorld (I'm staying at All Star Music). Will a cab be expensive? IS there reliable public transit? Should I maybe hope to find some Disney employees at the Rise Against shows who are heading down there and carpool?

Secondly; since this is peak touring season that really makes it tight as I would only have the 23rd, 25th, 26th and 27th for the parks (one park a day). Granted this is my second trip, so it's more to see what I missed and repeat some favorites. I think if I do end up going to Warped I'll save myself the Water Park option and just go for a swim at the All Star Resorts. Actually I was also wondering if as a Disney resort guest can I go to other hotels like the Beach Club or Carribean and use their pools?

Anyways, sorry for blabbing on...just trying to think out loud anyways. The good news is the Warped ticket is only $30 plus I'll save more than that by eliminating the water parks (which I did both last year). Course if I end up having to spring for a cab that kind of sets me back a bit..... Any info/suggestions/ideas/tips/etc?

I can't answer your later questions but I can say that the fairgrounds aren't exactly close to (or really that easy to reach) from the world. In a straight line they're probably only 15 to 20 miles away but route you have to take makes it longer in both time and distance.

It's about 20 miles of driving if you take I4. The time it'll take you to get there will completely depend on the time of day, I'd plan for 45 minutes of driving.

Reliable public transit? Not really Orlando's thing

No
"Pool Hopping" is not allowed for Resort guests. I'm pretty sure the only exceptions are Port Orleans guests can use either POFQ or POR pools and DVC members can pool hop to other DVC resort pools.

Some pools check resort keys and others have wrist bands [perhaps only in busy seasons, I'm not sure].

Well I should be right at home then, our public transit stinks lol. At least DIsney's is pretty decent.

I should mention I don't have a drivers liscense so I'm basically stuck with cabs or busses.
