Question about CBR.

We have only stayed at values before, but decided to try a moderate this time (thanks to the FD) and are booked at CBR. I have heard about how big this resort is and concerns about not getting onto buses. My questions is, when the buses come into the resort do they stop at one stop first all the time? If so, which one? We would like to request a room closest to that stop (even if it is farther from other things such as pool, restaurants, etc)
Thanks in advance for your help!

They don't always start at the same stop. I'm not sure what the loop is but it isn't always the same depending where the bus is coming from and going to. I know we had issues in Trinidad South (pirate rooms) so we walked down to Port Royale, got breakfast and got the bus there. It was often almost full still with Trinidad South and North to go so must have started in Jamaica. But then we got on at PR one morning and stopped at the Trinidads, Jamaica and I think Aruba too.

If I was to stay again I would request a room in a building in Jamaica or Aruba close to the walking bridge as they seem to be picked up first quite often and if they are last to be picked up it is just a short walk across to Port Royale and you can get the bus there. You are also close to all the amenities like the pool and restaurants.

CBR is gorgeous and we loved it, but the Trinidad South location was a bit far from the pool with two little ones after a long day at the park. The trade off was the pirate room which they adored and each island has its own quiet pool. Have a fab time.

We stayed at CBR last year and requested the Martinique section. We loved it, because we were a short walk away from the food court, and always had sitting places on the buses. We went in April, right after Easter, so the parks were crowded, but there was still always places on the buses, either at the Martinique of main lobby stops.

You shouldn't have a problem getting onto busses (as in them filling up); at least I've never seen that problem going out of CBR. In the morning when it's busy, they have two loops that about splits the resort's stops in half. I believe Jamaica is often a first stop, but it varies.

IMO the question to be asked is what do you want to be closest to, a bus stop, the food court, or tucked away in a quiet corner?
Trinidad North/South are probably the best choices for being close to bus stops (bldg 33, 36,37).

You know what's funny?
Definitely Jamaica as already mentioned. Great location, renovated rooms, and buses are not an issue at this stop.

We are booked for a Pirate room in October, it was the only Moderate room we could get to receive the free dining. Are they usually good at accommodating a building number choice? I was thinking of requesting building 34 or 35.

Pirate rooms are only in buildings 34-39 -- Trinidad South...you can request any of those buildings but 34 and 35 are the furthest away from the bus stop...The downside is you will be taking the busses EVERYWHERE -- its a long walk to Port Royale for the food court or anything else there even from buildings 34/35...the internal bus service is very slow. I might not recommend 34/35 -- if you get a room on the street side, you'll have bus noise all night long as they come to a stop at the corner at the bus stops and then rev up passing the buildings before going over the bridge.

The bus loops work differently for each park/route, as to where they come into and leave the property. You really shouldn't have any issues at any of the stops though, yes the resort is large but its not that large, only village that is out of the way is Trinidad South where the pirate rooms are, those are the farthest from everything and I do not recommend them at all. All the other villages are about equidistant to Port Royale, the central hub for food etc...

They released more rooms. It was this for our dates as well but I actually passed as the pirate rooms are just that far away....no thanks. If you are interested in a regular room, I'd check your dates again...regular rooms are available for our dates now. Maybe yours are too!

We absolutely loved Aruba... We had a corner room (a little larger) and we didn't even request it, nor was it a preferred room. Buses and pool were very easy, AND the late night quiet pool was very close!

I check daily to see if other rooms are available. There is practically zero availability for my dates at all.
