Question about cabs

There is a large group of us going to Disney in a few days with our families. We figure with the parks closing early, we will hang at the rooms and have a few beers. Question, can we rent a cab and buy a few cases of beer for our room?? Does the hotel allow you to bring beer into the hotel room?? With the cost of beer at the bar, we are hoping to save a few bucks. Any info is appreciated, thanks.

If you want to drink large quantities of beer in your room with your friends I'm sure it's fine.
Here are some things to concider though.
Buy a cooler and ice, The Disney refridgerators aren't all that big.
Buy some large waste bags to store empty cans and dispose of them yourselves, don't leave empty beer cans all over your room, it's just tacky.

and above all, be quiet and respectful of those around you. The rooms aren't soundproof and people will complain if your party gets too loud. I would shut your party down around midnight to avoid any confrontations with other resort guests.

Yes, you're welcome to travel off property to buy liquor and bring it back to your room. That's what most people who want to drink at WDW do (aside from those of us who just like to have a few Disney-specific cocktails). Just don't get loud and rowdy and be respectful of those in the rooms around you who may be sleeping.

Thanks for the help. We do not plan on being rowdy, we just know that with eight adults drinking a few beers each, it will get expensive at five dollars a beer....We definitely do not want to disrupt others. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with a styrofoam cooler!

Just be cool at the world and don't upset others around you and you will be fine.

We take a cooler all the time, even when we're not staying at a hotel. Tailgating is awesome!

You probably don't even need to leave property. The Hess stations sell beer at relatively normal prices. It may be a little more expensive, but probably not enough to offset the price of the cab. There are 3 Hess stations on property, one on the exit road from the MK, one near the Boardwalk and one across from Pleasure Island.

Sometimes we just go off property to have a couple. There are a few different places close to hotel plaza blvd. There also is an abc liquor store over there.

Have a great time. The walls at the Wilderness Lodge are very thin. We could hear the early morning conversation next door. We never needed a wake up call.
