Question about buying tickets

What is the best deal for buying Disney and Universal tickets? Should I buy in advance or wait to buy them when I get there. One website said the Florida visitors center had discounts. We want to do 2 days at Disney and 2 days at Universal. Any suggestions? Thanks

Disney no longer offers an advance purchase discount.

You will have difficulty finding any discount on Disney 1 and 2 day tickets.

For tickets with that short of a duration you best bet will be AAA (and I am not even positive that will even help) for the Disney tickets and possibly US. US also offers a discount on the gate price for buying online.

Get your US tix in advance to save money. I vaguely recall that there are US tix available that include free shuttle service from Disney to US as well if that is relevant to your needs.
