When you get to your resort i was told that you can put the tickets onto your room key and you can use your room key as your tickets is that true? If you can do that how much will it cost? Thanks

There is no extra fee to encode your tickets onto your room key.

If you purchased a vacation package that includes tickets, your tickets will be encoded onto your room key automatically when you check into the hotel.

If you already have tickets that you bought from Disney through the mail, from your local Disney Store or from an authorized ticket reseller like Maple Leaf or TicketMania, the front desk/lobby concierge can take those tickets and encode them onto your room key.

If you don't have tickets at all when you arrive, the front desk/lobby concierge can sell you tickets and encode them onto your key.

There are exceptions, though. A few ticket types cannot be encoded onto room keys at all. FL Resident discount tickets and Annual Passes are the two that spring to mind. (Originally, the extended-length tickets that they sell only to UK and other international visitors were on this exception list, but I recently read somewhere that they can now be included)

This depends on your situation. My sister bought her tickets through her TA and they were put on the room key without a problem. We bought ours as 'will call' online and couldn't get them put on the room key. This may be because we we're switching hotels half way through our stay but we were told that putting the ticket on the key could destroy our whole reservation! Supprisingly we decided to just carry around seperate park tickets, a bit of cardboard didn't add too much to my pockets!

Once thing to bear in mind though. Whilst at the resorts and parks we spotted a few room keys that had just been dropped on the ground. These always belonged to kids (a good job really else someone might have taken advantage of the room charging!) and I can only imagine the panic it caused when they were found missing.

Yeah, heaven-knows why a parent wouldn't collect the tickets/room keys from their young kids after entering the park... Yes, your child wants to "be a big person" and hold onto their card because it has a picture of Tinker Bell on it. But like you said, they lose them ALL the time... I was waiting in line at the Main Street Bakery back in December, and I saw a room key that was *inside* a display case on the wall because some little girl was most likely fooling around with it, stuck it in between the frame and the door, and it dropped in...

(Of course, it was a little telling on the cleaning staff that the case hadn't been opened to be cleaned, because the room key was dated August, and this was in December... Does anyone know if little Kelly's room key is still in there?)
