Quest or Mini Golf?

My dd age 10 and I are going to be getting to our hotel around 8pm, too late to go to the parks but was thinking of maybe taking in a game of mini golf or going to Disney Quest (free tickets via AAA). Or, should we just hang out at the hotel, get to bed early to start our day fresh? Any input would be great! Thank you!!

One Little Spark...
A game of mini golf would be fun. I wouldn't bother with Quest so late in the day. It is easy a half day experience. However, if it is raining, that would be your only option.

What hotel are you staying at?

I would just enjoy the resort, unpack and get settled in. That's one thing I regret my last trip is not enjoying the resort enough. After paying all that money it is a nice perk to just relax and enjoy what the resort has to offer.

I agree. Go to the pool, explore the themes of Pop, and get ready for all the fun ahead.

If you're interested in visiting DisneyQuest, you could always go after an AK day because the park closes on the earlier side. Buses run straight from AK to DD.

Minigolf is FUN! But Fantasia Gardens is just a boatride from HS/EPCOT, and you can get to Winter Summerland by taking a bus to Blizzard Beach and back. You could definitely find time for these during the day.

We originally were not planning on going to Disney Quest but got free tickets when booking through AAA. So ? Don't even know if it is worth it. I have never been but heard mixed reviews on it. Good idea about going to Mini Golf on an "early" night. We have never been mini golfing either and wanted to go to Winter Summer Land. Thanks again :)

To be honest, I only ever went because it was also free and we were in Downtown Disney to eat/shop (main priority). I'm also 20 instead of 10, and what more can 10 year olds want at that age? :p

I found it to be slightly outdated (they actually have a section with regular computers that kids just sit on and play games). But there are a few gems too: interactive POTC game, Buzz Lightyear 'bumper cars'. At the very least, if you're going to be at Downtown Disney anyways, I would take a peek. But don't be surprised if your 10 year old appreciates it more than you do.

This is what DH and I do our first night. There is so much the resorts have to offer in themselves. Take some time to soak it in.

I definately agree with other posters, do a pool *night*, and take in the resort. You'll be glad you did the next day!

Ask your daughter what she would like to do, let her check out both the mini golf and DQ online, and see what her thoughts are. Also ask about just hanging at the pool. I enjoy riding the monorail so for me heading over to the TTC or Epcot, and taking a ride would be right up my alley.

I was 11 when I went to WDW for the first time, and we stayed at the Pop. I loooooooveeed DisneyQuest, but I also liked the multiple pools at the Pop. I think you should ask your daughter what she wants to do, but they're all good options!
