(I hope this doesn't count as a political thread).

But just a brief shout out to our friends & neighbors across the pond for an outstanding ceremony honoring the Queen. A beautiful, well-executed event despite the weather not being so cooperative. Cheers to Queen Elizabeth II & family on this historical event.

 I was at work all day (it was raining there as well!) so watched the flotilla ceremony once I got home! I live in London but generally don't take in the sights, it was a great reminder of what a great city London is! It has inspired me to visit again soon, the city is just a 30 min train ride for me!

Too true, save a fortune by not paying dole to jakey neds and their 4 generations of work shy bucky swillers.

I would like to do a great service to all of our American members by translating this post.

Dole: a brand of canned pineapples.
Jakey: a child named Jake.
Neds: plural of Ned, a boring guy that lives down your street.
Bucky: a former Yankees player who did major damage to the Red Sox in the 70's.
Swillers: Someone who guzzles far too often.

So, what Mr. Pumbas is saying is that one can save money by not donating pineapples to bratty children who's boring, lazy parents hold some type of allegiance to a drunken Yankees player.

To all of you anglophiles out there, "you're welcome".

.

So, what Mr. Pumbas is saying is that one can save money by not donating tax revenue to trailer trash who's children indulge in sessions of drinking Buckfast Tonic Wine and are unwilling to work living on state benefits.

To all of you Scotophiles out there, "you're welcome".

A Ned:

The idea of neds eating fruit is amusing, and most would think pineapple was some street parlance or reference to a Roman Catholic church.

Shh...you're going to make it look as though I don't know what I'm talking about to all of our American members. I'm just trying to impress them...they'll believe anything said, you know.

Ah, now me gets it. :D

Though coming from Blue Jays' nation (yes...we have a fan base, all 12 of us), I reject the thought of donating any item (whether delicious fruits or not) to anyone associated with a Yankees player.
