QS credit question

My family has been to DW many times in the past but it has been a while since we have used the dining plan. We are trying to figure out if it would be worth it to purchase it for our trip in March.

My number one question is if we purchase the QS plan can you use multiple credits at a Table Service restaurant. I don't believe this is possible but wanted to check because I know there have been a lot of changes to the plans over the years.

Thanks for your help!

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Nope you can always downgrade your credits but not upgrade. You can get 3 snacks for one QS credit but you cannot combine QS credits to get a TS credit. :)

had no idea about snacks. thats awesome if you have extras anyway.

Yep we had like 2 QS credits left in October and used them for some stuff at Starbucks In MK that were considered snacks like the drinks and some yummy cake pops(being we already had a lot Disney goodies to
Take home from our regular snack credits) for the drive back home. The 3
Cake pops deal are considered 1
Snack so we brought home quite a few cake pops! Haha! :)

Any drink at Starbucks is a snack I believe so make sure you order largest size.

Yep you can get a Venti as a snack credit! And the cake pops like I mentioned some think you can only get 1 for a snack credit but you can get a bunch of 3 for 1 snack credit. (So we came home with like 12 of them) We stay away from Starbucks mostly at Disney being we have it at home(and don't get me started on taking away the old MSB! Lol), but being we were leaving to drive home we needed some fuel. Lol :)

In Saratoga Springs I make a meal from 3 snacks, using one quick service as I am restricted from the QS menu. You can also put there pots of fruit etc in the fridge for breakfast on the go.

We just used our snack credits for breakfasts at the resort. The pastries count as a snack, and so we just used our snack quota that way, to help extend the QS credits, since the dinner plan only covers two meals

No, you can't use quick service credits for full service dining. Bummer. For whatever its worth, here's my 2 cents about the dining plan. We got it free with a vacation package a few years ago and I would not pay for one now. Here's why- our whole day was centered around when we were going to use our food points versus the rides and attractions. We ate much more than we would have ordinarily because we didn't want to lose our food points. After doing the math, we spent less a day on food out of pocket than what it costs a day for the dining plan (quick service).

Thanks everyone. I knew it was a long shot. We too have benefitted from free dining in the past but this trip is the first time all of my kids will be at the adult price (everyone is 10 years or older) and I am looking at the math. As of right now the dining plan doesn't look like a good deal for us. My 10 year old twins do not eat enough to justify purchasing it.
