Q's About Water Parks

I'm currently planning a 2005 trip in which I will be taking my BF along with me, and it is his first WDW trip ever. He has voiced his interest in visiting Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, and so I want to plan the trip around that.

I really wanted to go sometime in mid to late April or May. I have never been to WDW anytime other than summer, so I don't know when the water parks officially open after winter.

Are the water parks open in April?

From what I understand. The Waterparks are actually "open" year round. Although in the off-season, they usually alternate which one is open while the other is being refurbrished.

Seeing as how April is a relatively busy month attendance-wise, I would bet that both water parks are open. They were both definitely open when I was there earlier this month.

The water parks are ALWAYS open......we went in december....boy that was a mistake SOOOO COLD.....nobody was there so it was fun......yeah me and my college friends started to go to the water parks during the semester starting in March so YEAH its open in April......HAVE FUN

Both are both up from their rehabs by March.

The Waterparks are open year-round! Unless of course, they are closed for rehab. From past experiences, Typhoon Lagoon is usually closed sometime around February. not sure if that has changed or when the Blizzard Beach rehab might occur.
