Ok, as someone who has been on 6 trips with kids (many of them more then one kid, this past March we had 4 kids age 4 and under with 6 adults.) I know what I am talking about and belive me I have put more thought and effort into this then most people. I have been to WDW twice with a double and once where we had 2 double strollers on the trip. (my friends was a full size graco one.) It worked fine for them, but if we had been at a value or moderate resort were the busses are very full it would of been a bigger prolbem then Y&B club resort.
While I agree it would be nice for something to be done about the stroller, a place to put them reall wouldn't work. You can be in the front of the bus, your stroller in the back and 50 people packed in between you and it when you have to get off. And what if your stroller is on the bottom under 20 others? These busses don't just make one stop. It can be hard enough to get off as it is (and not let your young kids get seperated from you.)
They do make smaller strollers. Belive me, strollers are a big market. Did you know some cost close to a 1,000 now a days? I don't see the need to spend that much, but good ones often cost 200 to 300 dollars. (they do end up paying for themselves compared to rentals.)
We always invest in small strollers with good shade, snack bars, cup holders and stroage. Also important they recline for naps (it will happen.) Umbrella strollers are very umcomfotable and most pedatristions don't recomend using them for long times. Some of the more expensive ones do, and if you are going to use an umbrella stroller invest in one.
Our favorite stroller was a back pack/ stroller for infants (over 6 months to abour 18 months.) It was great. However it does not recline (she was able to sleep in it though.)
edwardtc, if there is one thing I have learned is never say never. It comes back to bite you in the butt. :lookaroun . Do you know how much walking is involed at WDW? Not to mention how much safer it is have the young child the stroller in crowds. When you have kids you have more to take with you (food, diapers, wipes, the list goes on and on.) So you hands would be full with that and carring the child. If you wait for the child to be able to walk on his or her own all day they can be 8 years old! Can you go that long with out going to WDW? Could you really leave them behind because they can't walk? I think not.
