Toddlees first trip as a Dvc'er Ptr. Oct 8th-15th.

Let me start by saying that I just got a Mac and havent spent much time on it so please bare with me ...

A little back story.

I had been to disney a few times before meeting my wife and was happy to be her new husband on her first trip there on our honeymoon in 1993.

We returned in 1997 for Our Daughters 3rd birthday and had a great time.

We took a break (way too long) and Didnt go back again until December of 2008.
It was an incredible trip with my wifes family and we got to see the place all dressed up for the Holidays.

It was the first time any of us had the chance to stay onsite. The Pofq was great and I knew I was bitten by the Disney Bug on that trip...so were we all.

Needless to say we all fell in love with the place all over again and vowed to return a.s.a.p.

Upon our return home Someone on my side of the family said.."We should do a Family trip too" so we returned in July of 2010 with My extended family including Parents, Brother and sister in-law with their kids and an extra niece .

We all stayed at Pofq and Again EVERYONE had a great time.

When we returned home we knew we wanted to buy into Dvc and make the trips more frequently.

After speaking to The Local Dvc rep. we decided to see what The Timeshare store people could do for us and we thrilled to close on a Contract at Akv.

Only problem was(if you can call a trip to wdw a problem??!!) we were within 6 months of wanting to go and couldnt get a room at Akv so we decided to give Ssr a shot and were put on the waitlist for akv.

So here we are 5 months later and we are 5 weeks from our trip.

The cast this year is smaller and Ive gotta admit that its a sense of relief to be able to move at our own pace and with our own interest at heart.

The cast is..

Me almost 45 year old kid at heart .

Dw Dianna . Beautiful and fun...sadly has to be the grown-up cause I refuse.

DD Amanda . will turn 17 on this adventure. Bright , hard working and determined. Heading off to college in less than a year and My heart sinks every-time I think of it. Shes got the grades to get into just about any college and has already heard from Notre Dame.

Ds Jake. Will turn 6 on this trip. My Mini-me if you will. Stand up comedian and stuntman all rolled into one.He's The sole reason I find myself falling asleep 9 o'clock at night ..Let's face it I cant keep up with this kid.

Wow..Home and back to work this morning...sob,sob,sob.

Ill get a Tr going soon but a few quick thoughts.

Landed after 7p.m. Saturday Night in some of the WORST weather Id ever seen. Dme driver said that Orlando had 11 inches of rain.

Thankfully against all odds and the weather forecasters (these guys are so wrong all the time)The weather REALLY turned out great and we had mostly dry warm days.

Saratoga is Beautuful But HUGE and it took us a few days to figure out the lay of the land and get our bearings!

The Maid service was awful and I still cant get over the fact that I had to go to the pool and borrow towels after we asked for more and they never showed up.

Mnsshp was great and we hope to do it again before too long.

Best meal of the Trip...Capt. jacks clam bake. It was AWESOME!!

Close runner up was 50's prime time!! Best waiter EVER!! Cousin Richard rocks!!

Still no shortage of people willing to step on you or in your way to gain 3 seconds or 3 inches!!

My sweet, kind hearted wife who is the most easy going person ive ever known actually had to confront a rude woman. "Youre kidding me Right" when the nasty thing decided that she needed to be closer to the stage for The Pirate lesson at Mk and pushed her way in front of my 6 year old son.

This broad (i have other words that id never use here to describe this woman)rolls her eyes and stays there..blocking the entire show from my son and taking pictures ..Dear sweet wife almost loses it on her ..."this aint gonna work...YOU NEED TO MOVE.....NOW!!"

Always amazed that people feel entitled to act like complete animals at eveyone else's expense ...Its sad and Pathetic.


Well she left and I was all smitten with love and goofy feelings !!

My poor wife is so sensitive that she second guessed herself and felt a little guilty afterwards. I had to reassure her that she handled it well.

Buses seemed to be way off for most of the trip..we had a few really long waits this time .
