PTR - 2nd Disneymoon (Kids are staying with Grandparents)

After reading a few other PTR, I decided to post mine. We are leaving in 10 days, and I have been looking forward to this trip for the last 20 years. HB & I met in 1992, and we both loved Disney. When we married in 1994 we were young college students working hard, it took us 5 years to save up enough to go on our Honeymoon, and Disney was our only choice. It was a value trip, but packed full of Disney Magic!! We promised ourselves then that we would come back and do a 2nd honeymoon with all the bells & pixie dust!

This year on Valentine's Day we booked that trip to coincide with the 20th anniversary of when we started dating. Now in 10 days I will finally be on a trip that I have been looking forward to for a long time. We have been to Disney several times since 1999, but this is a chance for HB & I to reconnect and focus on us.

Trip Basics:

September 21st - Leaving Atlanta around 7am, Dropping kids off at Nana's around 11am, Checking in to the Holiday Inn Resort at DTD around 4pm.

September 22nd - Check in at Contemporary Resort, picking up KTW, & dropping off luggage. Visit DTD

September 23rd - Animal Kingdom

September 24th - Hollywood Studios

September 25th - Resting

September 26th - Magic Kingdom

September 27th - Epcot

September 28th - Check-out of Contemporary, Check In to Holiday Inn Resort at DTD. DTD

September 29th - Drive Home

Of course my favorite part of the trip....the food!!!:D

We have the following meals planned with ADRs when needed:

9/21 - Earl of Sandwich
9/22 -(L) Bongo's Cuban Cafe, (D) Raglan Road
9/23 - (B) Kona's Cafe, (L) Yak & Yeti, (D) Jiko
9/24 - (L) Hollywood Brown Derby, (D) Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
9/25 - (B) The Wave, (Tea) Garden View Lounge Tea, (D) Victoria & Albert's
9/26 - (L) Liberty Tree Tavern, (D) Citricos
9/27 - (L) Biergarten, (D) Liberty Tree Tavern
9/28 - (D) Fulton Crab House

We are not big breakfast people, planning on grabbing some Cinnamon Rolls (Thanks to a "Crushingly" Good Food Report!!!!

Could use some ideas for some romantic rides, activities, or things to try...

YEEEAAAA....today I can do the online check-in!!!!!! However, HB is making me wait until tonight, he is on travel for work and will not be in until tonight. :(

I would sneak and go ahead....however, he is a lurker on the board :eek:.....so of course I will be a perfect angel and wait for him. :rolleyes:

Today I started preparing for my trip with a visit to the hair salon....I want to look my best for the Mouse :D

Sounds like a great trip you have planned! :) Any time spent at WDw is magical. So jealous you are staying at the Contemporary! We looked there for next Sept after our cruise and all the garden wing rooms are booked! Only thing available was a tower room overlooking Bay Lake. A little too pricey for us!! lol

We knew this was going to be a once in a lifetime trip...so we had to do it!!! I still want to do a cruise, maybe the Disney Alaskan Cruise.

We are at the 5 day mark & both HB and I have sinus infections.....ugh!!!!!!!

Fortunately, our doc is very understanding, and antibiotics and decongestants are circulating in our bodies....

Of course they would work better if I kept my rear in bed and relaxed (ummmmmm....yeah,not going to happen, I'm a Mommy ;) )

4 Days....HB is pretty much over his sinus infection, I am feeling better...still do not have my voice back yet.

All the clothes are packed, I am running my last errands this afternoon when I pick the kids up from school...YEA!!!!! It is getting so close!!!! (Can you tell the excitement is boiling over?????):rolleyes:

3 Days....HB is almost completely well, he is staying on all of his meds so he does not relapse. I am feeling much better, just ready for my voice & taste buds to return to normal!! Thanks to an AMAZING Dinning Report from @Crush Dude! my mouth has been watering for this trip for the last month!!!!

Tomorrow my Little Man is turning 6...this week is full of amazing wonders!!!

OK...excitement level just went up a notch!!!!! :D

I just got a call from V&A to confirm reservation and check on food preferences!!!! 3 more days until we leave and the magic is already in the air!!!!:D

2 DAYS!!!!!! A mere 42 hours until departure time!!!!!! :D(I wish I could make these emoticons jump around, then it will be a true reflection of my current mood!)

Bags are all packed....Lists have been checked twice...Laundry & housework is being finished up....Kitty sitter has been confirmed...Kids are ready for Nana's.....ummmmmmm.....I think I am ready....can I go now???????

I am the type of person that has to stay busy!! (My HB will roll his eyes on that statement!!:rolleyes:) Since I am ready for the trip, I decided to make a new dress to travel in, just a basic sundress.....ummmm....finished in less than an hour....now what??????

WE leave in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All the bags are packed, and ready for DH to load them in the car tonight...all the laundry is done, and house is clean for when we come home.
