PS's in Jan

Will I need to make PS's in Jan? Lunch is usually my big meal of the day but I don't eat at normal times. I usually eat lunch about 2pm. I plan on making a few PS's, but do I need to make one for every meal? I'm not sure I want to be that structured. Also, any recommendations on specific restaurants would be welcomed.

Cheers:wave:

Hi Barry!

I really don't think that in Jan for the times that you want to eat you'll need in PS's. 'Sides, you sound a bit like me...I don't need the whole structure thing - especially not at WDW! :sohappy:

Hiya Cymbaldiva. I'm going to US/IOA for 3 days so I'll make a PS for Mythos at IOA, and I know I wanna eat at Liberty Tree Tavern at MK. I'm also gonna do a Fantasmic! dinner pkg at MGM probably, but other than that, I'm not sure I wanna decide where I want to eat 2 or 3 months in advance. This is a kidless trip so I don't have to worry about Cindy's. We may do a character meal though, just not sure which one.

Cheers:wave:

PS...are you by chance a drummer?

Liberty Tree Tavern - we walked in at lunchtime. Anything at IOA I wouldn't know about, I've never been :( I would love to go to a character meal, but they're usually buffet and I don't eat enough to justify the expense....maybe someday though! :)

I marched drumline in college - does that count?

Back at you!

This will be my first time at IOA, but LOTS of people have told me that Mythos is wonderful, so I have to try it out. And yes, marching drumline in college counts, I was just wondering because of your name.:)

The name does come from my college days...do you drum?

As for Mythos, unfortunately I'll never know...IOA is a total thrill park, and I'm a bit of a wuss in that dept, so it would be a waste of my theme park $$ to go. It's too bad though, I'd really love to see the park!

Mythos is gorgeous and the food is excellent.

You can walk around the backside through the rocks and then back up through the dining room and out a side door if you want to see it without eating. You should also peek inside the Enchanted Oak, the stained glass ceiling is beautiful.

Okay, I shall..

Let's see.. The exterior is a beautiful fascade of a rockey out cropping with a waterfall cascading down the side from the mouth of Poseidon and down some female god's face (it's that typical greek/roman female face) and into a pool. Actually, come to think of it, the face may be of Narcissus (male) because the indeticle face looks back up out of the pool at it.

Anyways, the glass door entrance is beneath a massive sphere with the words Mythos cut out from its brassy-metal structure with the word changing colors effortlessly like the new Mission:SPACE marquee.

Inside, is a shaped and carved cave. Light reddish brown in color. Huge windows flank the rear wall looking out over the inland sea. Atlas holds up the hand rails, mosaics are placed in the flooring, and the mouth of Hades is the open flame grill. Water flows through a series of smaller waterfalls and pools throughout the building. Various gods are in the walls to be explored.

Outside on the seaside terrace, a massive carved God acts as a central pillar and makes for a great picture, though rarely seen as it only faces the inland sea.

You're such a total TEASE! It sounds wonderful - I can't decide if I love you for describing it so beautifully or hate you for rubbing my nose in it!
