PS ? when staying concierge

Hi Everyone,

We just booked 4 nights at the Poly concierge for 3/1 to 3/5. My question is, since it is so close to our date and I cannot wait for the concierge to call us, do I call the resturants direct that we want to eat at or do I call the concierge and they make the PS for me? I have read here that sometimes the concierge gets better tables, shorter waits, ect. Thanks for your help!

Call the concierge and ask them to do it for you. We always stay concierge and I do believe that they may be able to arrange some PS for you that may otherwise be unavailable on this short notice.

Since a PS is not a reservation per se, but rather entitles you to the next available table for a group your size, I am not sure that having the concierge do it will result in a better table or shorter waits at the restaurants (although once or twice, our concierge booked PS seems to have allowed us to bypass others waiting in line, but I have no real proof of this).

In any event, since you are paying for the concierge service, you might as well take advantage of it!

We never wait for them to call us. I call them as soon as I've booked the room and know the PS I want to schedule. I don't care if it 6, 8, 12 months out. They will more than happy to take down the info and call at the approprate times.
