Promos for after free dining

We are going in Oct, but after free dining is over. We will be staying at Fort Wilderness and wouldn't qualify for the free dining promotion, so we are delaying our trip until Oct. (Hubby's choice, not mine)

I used to get discount pin codes all the time, but haven't gotten any recently. Is there normally a public deal going on after free dining is over?

Also, If I book now, can the discount be applied later if one becomes available ?

From what I've heard, you can book now, and if a good deal comes out, you can apply it to you reservation.

Too bad you can't make it for free dining.... I think you have to check in at least by October 2.... that would have probably saved you some money.

Not really true. Disney sets rooms aside when they come out with deals. So that is why you will sometimes be able to find a rack rate room but not a discounted room at the same resort.

As far as the OP question. Odds are good that there will be some deal offered. What that is and when it will come up are completely up for debate.
