I happen to know EXACTLY what you are thinking about. The music is from the performance of Lord of the Dance and is called strings of fire because it involves a violin duel between two fiddling chicks. However, the original soundtrack to LOTD does not contain this song, but the song can be found on the Feet of Flames album. Once again, however, this is not exactly the music form the original show (napster has an unbelievably awesome live version) and not exactly the music played before RoE b/c some other instruments are missing. The tune, however, is the same. I believe the song played before RoE is not exactly from Lord of the Dance and maybe just a popular Irish folk song from some random album, however Strings of Fire hits the spot.
