Professional Photographs in the Magic Kingdom

Hi,

I read somewhere that there are professional Photographers wondering around the parks that take your picture, and you can then buy it later.

I was wondering if these guys are for hire? If you wanted a photo taken say in front of a certain attraction, could you ask them to come with you and take the photo which you could then purchase? Obviously it's gonna be a bit more expensive then your average shot as you enter the park, but just wondered if it was possible?

I am planning on proposing to my girlfriend when we visit in September, hopefully in front of Cindarella's Castle. Thought it would be a good idea to suggest to her 'let's go and get our photo take in front of the castle' and then just as he is about to take the shot, I get down on one knee... you get the idea!

As far as I know, Disney Photographic Services handles all of the in-park photographers. Give them a call and ask what they can do for you -- (407)827-5099.

They also offer photography packages -- I think they're $295 -- where a photographer follows you around the park taking photos where ever you want. This includes an album of photos. I don't know if there are other less expensive packages.

We did this on our honeymoon (castle photo session is wedding clothes was too expensive) and the photos are AWESOME -- we even ordered Christmas Cards from them. I wonder if they could do engagement announcements for you to mail out to friends and family, with an actual picture of you down on one knee? That would be very cute! And you could also have the photographer take a posed photo of you for the newspaper announcement.

Wow! I wish I could do the whole engagement and wedding over again! The first time was so magical, I'd want to relive it!

I'm not sure about the whole wandering around, but you can hire the people to take pictures. I got my senior pictures taken over at the Grand Floridian. They turned out beautiful! Congrats on finding the one!

So you don't think I could just wonder over to say, guest services and ask them if they'd take a photo of me and my girlfriend over near the castle?

Well.. you have the Disney photo people (which someday I'd like to work for) and you have those people with the cameras just as soon as you walk in. The people with the cameras on Main Street i think are contract employees.

where a photographer follows you around the park taking photos where ever you want.

Hell If i lived in Orlando I'd do that - and i'd probably do it a bit cheaper then Dis would charge....
