Professional Internships?

Hi Disney fans! I'm from Washington, but will be a freshman at Colorado State next year. I plan on doing the Disney College Program, and maybe a Professional Internship later, so here are some questions for all you alumni. My planned major is Equine Science, Pre-Vet with a minor in Zoology.

1) When do you recommend applying for DCP? (Fall, Spring, Sophomore, Junior, etc.)
2) Where is the best area to work? (Merchandise, Full Service Food, Attractions, etc.)
3) How much money did you get to live off of each week, subtracting housing from that number?
4) I'm really interested in the Zoology PI's but can't find personal info on them ANYWHERE, blogs, etc. Do you know anyone who did a Zoology PI or has a blog about it?
5) I have a tattoo on my ankle, but it's pretty small and says "Faith", how much of a problem will this be?

Thank you so much :)

Good luck! Which resort do you plan on applying to?

1) I applied going into sophomore year and got accepted for the College Program at Disneyland. I recommend no earlier than that. As for semester, check with your college if any classes are offered during those terms you would need. In general, Fall is shorter than Spring at Disney so keep that in mind. As for PIs, generally they're looking for juniors or seniors.
2) That depends on your major. There's not going to be much in the way of animals for CP, but if you get accepted talk to your Leads about meeting people from the animal programs. I'm in Emerging Media, so I'm doing Attractions but trying to get an interview to do social media.
3) Depends where you live, which Resort, etc., however the rent is automatically deducted so you never have to worry about "paying" it. Generally expect somewhere around $100-$200/wk.
4) They're kinda small :/ When PIs open again in September you should see more info about them.
5) That should be fine. As long as it can be covered by makeup or clothing it's ok if you have one. If you're concerned, bring it up with during your interview and they can make a note to only assign you locations with long skirts/pants.
