Hey there... I have a question for yall that have applied/completed/got accepted into a PI..
I'm planning on applying for one when I'm done with my CP and I'd just like to know what kinds of things did you put on your resumes and what sorts of activites/clubs/etc are yall in that would make you stand out. Right now I'm not too involved with anything on campus, but I'm trying to figure out ways that will help me stand out of the thousands of applications they receive. Any advice would help, thanks!:veryconfu:p

While i haven't applied or done the program, I have looked in to extensively because I wanted to. The big thing to do is get involved on campus. Leadership in organizations and meaningful activities are what stand out on nearly any resume (along with a strong GPA). You also should apply to programs that apply to what you are studying. If you are a theater major you shouldn't look at Operations Management even though you love theme parks. They look for people who fit the description and have also been involved in what they want to do.

thanks.. yeah I'm a business adm major (human resources)...do you think it's more important to get involved in clubs or to get a job to show commitment/leadership etc... I just want to get one of the internships so bad and I want to be as prepared as possible :)

I would say Campus Involvement would be best. Even outside Disney...I go to plenty of recruitment sessions in my internship searches and they look at your campus involvement and leadership a lot they say. I really wanted to get involved in a PI, but my school is just not cooperative enough with the program. And considering I will be graduating next year it isn't worth delaying myself.
