Problem with Internet Explorer

Hi there.

I went away on vacation (in December) and when I came back I couldn't get into the forums anymore. I surf using both home and work computers (Mac OS9, Internet Explorer 5). I get to the front page (or any pages within the threads) and NOTHING shows up as a link. Right now I'm getting around it by using a different browser (Netscape, and my AOL browser allow me to get around the boards) But I'd like to use the same browser for all my surfing. I'm thinking of reinstalling IE 5 but don't want to loose all my bookmarks. I just thought I'd check in here and see if anyone else had the problem or any ideas (I emailed Steve about it had he didn't have any ideas). Checking the other threads in this forum it occured to me that when I came back from my vacation the snowfall feature had been added. Maybe that's the problem??

you could do two things.

1 upgrade to IE6 , this upgrade will not deleate you favorites.

(I use IE6 and have had no problems accessing the site, But I also am using a Cable Modem to access)

2 get software such as norton system works which has tools to find and fix errors in your browser.

The version of IE in OS9 is terrible (not much better in OS10 come to think of it! ;) ). I believe the snow effect is probably causing you trouble. It will be gone soon, so you will be OK from then onwards. Netscape 6 for the MAC seems a much more compatible browser than IE5 is for the MAC.
