Priority Seating

When can I start making Priority Seating Reservations at Disneyland? Is it like Disney World where you can do it 90 days before? I'm almost at the 90 day point for my trip in early November.

Also what Counter Service is good? I was told the Rancho del Zocalo is a good place. What about Lucky Fortune Cookie at DCA? Any tips would be great.

I already know that Dole Whip at Tiki Juice Bar is a must! :slurp:

Thanks

Lucky Fortune Cookie is never open, but if you see it open make sure you post on the boards as it would be big news.

I think it is 90 days, or 60 days, I can't remember. Priority seating isn't as big a deal at DL as at WDW, except for at Blue Bayou and other high end restaurants like Napa Rose. It is a good idea to get one for character meals too.

I like Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. Taste Pilots Grill at DCA next to Soarin' is good too. I would recommend trying any place and seeing what you like.

I think it's 60 days. I would recommend PS, too (especially for Blue Bayou!).

As far as Counter Service, we really liked Rancho del Zocalo (DL), French Market (DL), and Pacific Wharf Cafe (DCA.. try the Newport Nicoise!). :slurp: :D

I find it so funny (ie. strange and frustrating!) that information on something so simple as Priority Seating info is so difficult to find compared to the same info for WDW.

The same happens for just about anything you need to know for planning a trip to DL. It's such a chore compared to WDW info.

That is so true. I finally just found a good menu web site for Disneyland and it's a site I used for WDW. www.allearsnet.com

agreed. we are taking a trip next summer, and there is hardly any info out there for DL compared to WDW. is there a site that is like wdwmagic for DL? so far, deb's site is the best at allearsnet.

You can check this thread out on different Disneyland sites out there.

Hope it helps!!

Just as a followup......

I called for my meal reservations today and can verify that they take requests 60 days out.

I guess I was lucky to get everything (Including Blue Bayou!) even though I waited til the 30-day mark.

LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!

Most DLander's are locals and feel they know everything - i'm not kidding - and thus they tend not to share information about how the parks are operating, dinner reservations (they eat outside the parks, often) but rather focus on special events and merchandise in an almost competitive manner.

It's really an interesting study of the character between the two types.
