Priority Seating--Before Park Opens??

Hello everyone!

My family has just made priority seating arrangements for Akershus (sp?) for the Princess breakfast. We have never used priority seating, so we are a little unsure how exactly it works.

However, our time is 8:50am. This is before Epcot opens (usually at 9:00) and world showcase (usually 11;00). How does this work. Do we just walk up to the gate and tell them we have priority seating? I am a little confused, but we really wanted to do this as it is a birthday gift for my 4 year old daughter.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

When you got to the entrance of EPCOT (get there early) go to the turnstile on the far right labeled “princess breakfast”. They will let you in and direct you where to go.

How early should we plan to get there? We are staying at the Pop Century. I am guessing about a 15 minute walk to Norway from the gate of Epcot. We will have a rental car. Should we use that or take the Epcot bus?

That early in the morning I would take your car since you are going to have it. I believe there is an early bus, but it stops at a number of resorts. We went to this character breakfast last trip and drove ourselves. This is a great place. The food is really good and well, there are princesses there.....

Have fun.

I have never used a car while staying on property. Do you just show your resort id to the parking toll booth to get waved through?

Also, how is Chef Mickey's for lunch? I am considering going trying to get PS arrangements there as my DS who isn't quite 3 will be free!

You are better off driving that early in the AM. Sometimes the busses are a little slow getting started. Have fun? I can't wait to go back myself.

Leave yourself plenty of time to get in the gates. When we went last summer before the park opened, the "Princess" line was about 100 people long. It took about 20 minutes just to get through that line. With a 8:50 reservation, I'd wanna be at the park by about 8:15 to be sure, with the walk back to world showcase and all.

If you have a daughter you might try getting there as early as possible. In 2003 we showed up for the princess breakfast early and because my daughter was the first girl there, the CM asked if she would like to be princess for the day. Oh boy, did she.

She was given a princess hat, cape and wand and by the magic wave of her wand opened the doors to the Akershus. All the non-character CM were waiting just beyond the door to greet her and lead her (and us) in. They seated us right next to the door where the characters emerge and so she was the first to meet them as each one came out. They each spent a lot of time with her and us (which pleased my sons and me!) and they each autographed her princess hat (Belle, Snow White, Mulan, Princess Aurora, and Princess Jasmine). She was also given a special signed certificate with her name on it proclaiming her Princess of the Day for Epcot.

Needless to say, that was a treasured Disney experience for my daughter and we were thrilled to be her guests! And we had no idea about this - just happened to luck out that morning.

What time would you guess is the first seating? This would be awesome as this is essentially her gift for her 5th birthday--going to WDW and the character breakfast. She turns 5 on 2/14 and our PS is on 2/12. We will get there as early as we can!

I just went to the wdwig.com website and it lists the Character breakfast for Akershus to begin at 8:30 6 days a week, but at 8:00 am on Wednesdays.

Make sure and get her a birthday button/pin at the customer service desk in MK when you get there. She will then be given allot more attention than normal.

I am not sure you can get them at any of the other parks, but I know they give them at the MK. We went for my daughters birthday last year and got one the first day. She wore it all week. I started feeling guilty about the whole thing, but my wife wouldnt let me take it off her....oh well...it got us on the front of the monorail....

You will have a great time.

Chef Mickey's is only open for Breakfast and Dinner. Although, you could book a late breakfast and enjoy a nice brunch.
