Princess Meet Fastpass vs Regular Line

When the princesd meet and greet was at the town hall I found getting a fast pass easy, but then actually using it there did not seem to be much of an advantage as regular lines seemed about equal in wait.
Does anyone know how effective fastpass/fpplus has been at the new location? Also how has it been using it for Ariels grotto?

Used it for one of the sides of the Princesses about a month ago. We walked in the building, waited maybe a minute or two til the CM waved us into the actual room. About an hour earlier we did standby for the other side. That wait was about 30-45 minutes, vs the maybe 5 minutes it took us for FP+. They are two different lines, with the FP+ lines being on the outside, and the cattle corral in the middle.
