Does anyone know if the Princess Marathon in Feb sells out quickly? And what are the approximate hotel costs that weekend?

thanks much!

If you're looking to register in the next 4-6 months, I wouldn't worry. However, I wouldn't wait any longer than that, as the RunDisney series is gaining more popularity each year.

There are discounted rooms available at time for those who register, but they are usually few, and you have to act fast once you get the information.

Welcome to the boards!

If I remember correctly, the Princess Half sold out a week or two before the race itself this past year. Someone else might have a better memory for that.

We stayed at Port Orleans - Riverside and booked with a small runner's discount by calling 407-WDW-IRUN. I think it was about $189 per night. They actually posted the costs on the Princess Half website at RunDisney.com for this year's race, so be on the lookout for that. Don't hesitate to ask any other questions! :)

The discounts through RunDisney are minimal at best. You can most likely end up doing better through AAA. Keep in mind that booking a room through RunDisney ends up going through as a package even if you only book the room, so you need to pay it off in advance, have a different cancellation policy than room only, etc. And read the rates posted on the site. The fine print at times in the past was per person double occupancy, but others are per room.

Check out the event website, as they update the occupancy once they hit 50%. (Wine & Dine just hit 50%) Once it hits 90% or so is when you need to worry. That is when most people panic register and the numbers jump up fast.

And now that they added the Tinkerbell, the Princess may take a bit longer to sell out since they are fairly similar races.

I booked my rooms in December through the IRUN number and didn't have any problems getting rooms at Port Orleans which was what I wanted.
